Bio:

I’ve called Garland home for over 30 years. I attended Bradfield Elementary and Austin Academy, which is where I met my wife, Jessica, back when we were just kids with no idea where life would take us.

Like many Americans after 9/11, we both felt called to enlist in the Army. I served a 16-month deployment in Iraq with the 172nd Stryker Brigade and came home with a Bronze Star and a deep appreciation for those I served alongside.

We returned to Texas in 2010, bought our home in the Orchard Hills neighborhood, and have been raising our four children here ever since.

I earned my BS in Finance (magna cum laude), MBA, and MS in Finance from UT Dallas. Today, I’m a Data Analyst. But during school, I also worked at a local Social Security Office, helping retirees navigate benefits and learning about the challenges our elderly neighbors on fixed incomes face.

Jessica and I keep serving. We’ve volunteered with GLOWS warming shelter, and I’ve supported Jessica’s work with Catholic Charities. Jessica herself has served Garland directly, first in our Garland Central Library, then seven years as a Public Safety Dispatcher with the Garland Police Department. She was the voice on the other end of the line for neighbors on their worst days, and I couldn’t be prouder of her.

We’re raising our four kids here, grounded in faith, diversity, and looking out for one another. This city has given our family so much. Running for City Council is my way of giving back.
